Misao has studied Playwriting under the instruction of Ken Prestininzi, former resident playwright of New Dramatists in NYC, at Connecticut College, Jake Jepson, creator of the Apprentice Program at the Orchard Project, and Prince Gomolvilas, recipient of the PEN Center USA Literary Award for Drama, at East West Players. Her first play, Dandelions Conquer, was recipient of the Anne S. Richardson Awards in LGBTQ Studies for Best Creative Work in 2016, and her most recent play, hellokitty55, was chosen as one of six "Best of PlayGround" recipients and presented at the PlayGround-LA Annual Gala in April of 2020.

Misao McGregor is a queer, non-binary, mixed-race Japanese American, singer/songwriter currently based in Louisiana. They have been trained as a classical singer and pianist from an early age, and have been self-producing their own work which has roots in indie, pop, and soul. They released their debut EP "Brave" in 2014 and their debut album "Kid in the Corner" on December 17th, 2020.
Their songs have been featured on Spotify playlists such as Madame Gandhi's The Future Is Female as well as Own Your Voice, Lefuturewave's Indie Zone and Pop & Indie, the New Q Playlist, and Global Asian Spotify's Playlist.
